Spaghetti and Cheese Casserole Recipe - Nutritious and Delicious

INGREDIENTS

¼ cup margarine
2 large onions
1 clove of garlic
4 large tomatoes
½ 1 cup mushrooms
1-2 carrots
2/3 cup white or cider
Seasoning (optional)
½ teaspoon chopped sage
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
8 oz. wholewheat spaghetti
Water to cook
Sea salt(optional)
1-1 ½ cups grated
1-2 Cheddar cheese

To garnish

Fresh sage leaves

PROCEDURE

  • Heat the margarine and fry the finely chopped onions, garlic, tomatoes and mushrooms.
  • Add the coarsely grated carrots, the wine or cider.
  • Season if wished summer for a short time, but do not over cook, then add the sage and parsley.
  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti by boiling in a closed pan of water.
  • Strain the spaghetti, mix with the vegetables sauce, add the cheese and pout into a hot dish, top with several sage leaves.
  • Do not add too much sage as the flavor is very strong.
  • Serves 8 as an hors d’oeuvre. 3-4 as a main dish.

To vary

Add a small chopped red chilli pepper (very hot) and/or diced green pepper or red pepper.
