Submission Guidelines

ALL ARTICLES SUBMITTED TO KAROONGA.COM MUST ADHERE TO THESE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

By submitting your article(s) to us, you agree to:

  1. The articles that you submit must be your own work - You declare that you are the sole owner and author of the article and own 100% of all copyrights pertaining to it. You may not submit articles written by other authors and the content must be unique. No rebranded articles allowed, you must be the sole copyright holder for each article you submit. Articles written by a ghost writer are perfectly acceptable as long as they are being used only by yourself.
  2. Your submission to Karoonga.com gives unconditional permission to publish your article anywhere on our website, blog, or syndicate through RSS. We may also change where it appears, including the category, at any time. HOWEVER, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO ADD YOUR PROMOTIONAL LINKS WITH THE ARTICLES, WHICH WILL NOT BE CHANGED WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION - Review the complete Submission Guidelines and Terms of Service.
  3. Your submission to Karoonga.com also gives unconditional permission for your articles to be reprinted in other ezines, websites and print publications. We ask publisher(s) to follow our reprint rules as stated below, but you acknowledge that the enforcement of our terms of service for publishers is at your risk and cost and not ours. In other words, if someone violates your copyright — it will be 100% up to you to take legal action against those who abuse your copyright to protect your interests. If you do not agree to these terms, do not submit your articles.
  4. Article submitted MUST NOT contain: pornography/adult material, hate or violence-oriented, suggest racial intolerance, advocate against any individual or group, have insulting, obscene, degrading tone, or contain profanity.
  5. Article submitted MUST NOT contain information or snippets about Hacking/cracking of content, support for terrorism/ radicalism/ religious fanaticism, bomb creation, illegal drugs, use of steroids, weapon/ firearms/ ammunition/ balisongs/ butterfly knives or brass knuckles, or the promotion of hard alcohol/tobacco-related products or prescription drugs.
  6. By submitting your articles to Article website, you grant others the right to publish your articles - Other Article website users have the right to publish your articles on their websites, in their newsletters or ezines, and more as long as the article is left in the original state. This includes the resource box which provides you credit as the author of the content.
  7. Karoonga.com always reserves the right as to whether your article is published and for how long. There are no guarantees made that your article(s) will be published. We reserve the right to remove your article(s) and/or membership account at any time for any reason.
  8. Karoonga.com reserves the right to re-classify your article in a topic category that may be more suitable than originally submitted.
  9. Submitting your articles to Karoonga.com does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind - You will not receive compensation from Karoonga.com or the users of our directory for articles you submit.
  10. Submitting an article in no ways guarantees inclusion in our directory - We reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason.
  11. We reserve the right to publish ads on the same pages as your articles.
  12. If your article does not conform to our editorial guidelines, our editors may edit your article so that it does conform to the posted editorial guidelines. Please read our editorial guidelines before submitting your articles to save time and speed the article approval process.
  13. Karoonga.com allows for the placement of direct affiliate links within your Articles. So, you are welcome to place any affiliate links within the site, as long as these articles adhere to these Submission Guidelines here and/or the Terms of Service.
  14. WEBSITE LINKS/URLS There is a total limit of (4) active or inactive links allowed in the article, which consists of both the BODY and the RESOURCE BOX.
    1. Maximum of (2) “Self-Serving” active or inactive links/URLs to a website that you own, control, or have an interest in.
    2. Maximum of (2) active or inactive non-self serving links/URLs to a website that you do not own, control, or have an interest in which adds value to the article.
  15. Article submissions are subject to the following length restrictions, outlined below:
    • Article Title: maximum 150 characters.
    • Article Body: minimum 300 words and maximum 2,500 words.
    • Author Bio: 400 characters or roughly 60 words.
  16. Articles must be spellchecked and proof read for proper language, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure prior to submitting - Do not submit articles filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. We do monitor article submissions and we will reject content that doesn’t meet this requirement.
  17. MUST NOT contain excessive and/or bolded keywords/ phrases. Bolding is limited to headings and subheadings.
  18. HTML/Javascript and Image Policy:
    1. The following HTML TAGS ARE ALLOWED in the ARTICLE BODY:
      • B for Bold
      • STRONG for Strong>
      • I for Italics
      • EM for Emphasis
      • U for Underline
      • P for Paragraph
      • BR is used to force a hard line return. Use this HTML tag to prevent our system from trying to wrap your short sentences together into one paragraph.
      • PRE to make a text table look right.
      • BLOCKQUOTE to indent a paragraph
      • XMP are used to display HTML code if you want to show the HTML code but not have our system interpret your code as HTML commands.
      • OL and UL tags to create a NUMBERED LIST or a BULLET POINT list. See the Essential HTML article link below for further instructions on how to implement if this is your first time using these tags. These are OPTIONAL tags as you can always just left justify a numbered list or * asterisks for bullets and it makes your article much simpler to reprint.
    2. The following HTML TAGS ARE NOT ALLOWED in the ARTICLE BODY:
      • JAVASCRIPT is not allowed in any form.
      • IMG SRC Image tags are NOT allowed.
      • FONT SIZE changes or COLOR tags are NOT allowed.
      • H1, H2, H3, etc. tags are NOT allowed.
      • The HR horizontal line tag is NOT allowed.
    3. Please do not submit articles with excessive HARD LINE BREAKS. A hard line break is when you use the HTMLor
      tag to force a carriage return rather than allowing each line to wrap naturally. We may either reject or convert any articles that are sent in with hard line breaks. It’s ok to force a hard line break when you’re making a small list of items but it’s not ok to arbitrarily force hard line returns on every single line at a certain character width.
    4. Your article MUST be single spaced, MUST use appropriate paragraph breaks, and MUST use correct formatting for bulleted or numbered lists. We will not accept articles that are not single spaced, that do not use paragraphs to appropriately break up the body text, or that provide bulleted or numbered lists that are not formatted correctly.

Any Article that does not adhere to the above Policy will be removed.
